What to include

A short description of your question is fine, but the following kinds of detail materially speed up a useful reply:

  • Bug reports: the page URL, what you did, what happened, and what you expected. If the bug is reproducible, the steps. Browser and operating system if you have them handy.
  • Character corrections: the character, the field that is wrong (pinyin, meaning, radical, HSK level), and the source you would prefer we use. Including a citation makes it possible to fix and ship within hours.
  • Feature requests: what you are trying to learn or do, and where the current tools fall short. We weigh changes against the “does this help self-directed learners stay on the page longer” bar.
  • Privacy or legal questions: reference the relevant section of the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service where helpful.

A note on data requests

Because HanziFluency stores all of your study data only in your own browser (see the Privacy Policy), there is no server-side database we can search to retrieve, export, or delete your records. You can export your decks from the in-app Decks page and clear all data via your browser's site-data controls.
